dc.description.abstractEste trabajo analiza la discriminación hacia la población LGBTIQ+ en Colombia desde la psicología social, evidenciando su impacto en el bienestar psicológico. Aunque existen avances legales, persisten formas de exclusión que afectan la salud mental de personas con orientaciones sexuales e identidades de género diversas. Con base en Gregory M. Herek y Carol Ryff, se entiende la discriminación como una condición estructural que se internaliza, afectando la autoimagen y el desarrollo personal. La investigación combinó entrevistas semiestructuradas y la Escala de Bienestar Psicológico de Ryff, aplicadas a dos personas LGBTIQ+ víctimas de violencia simbólica y directa. Los resultados muestran afectaciones en contextos familiares, laborales e institucionales, así como en la construcción identitaria. En respuesta, se diseñaron tres intervenciones psicosociales centradas en el abordaje del estigma internalizado, la reconstrucción de la identidad y el fortalecimiento de vínculos familiares. Estas propuestas promueven el bienestar psicológico desde un enfoque afirmativo, comunitario y basado en derechos humanos.spa
dc.description.abstractenglishThis paper analyzes discrimination against the LGBTIQ+ population in Colombia from a social psychological perspective, highlighting its impact on psychological well-being. Although legal advances have been made, forms of exclusion persist that affect the mental health of people with diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. Based on Gregory M. Herek and Carol Ryff's work, discrimination is understood as a structural condition that becomes internalized, affecting self-image and personal development. The research combined semi-structured interviews and the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale, applied to two LGBTIQ+ individuals who were victims of symbolic and direct violence. The results show impacts in family, work, and institutional contexts, as well as on identity construction. In response, three psychosocial interventions were designed, focusing on addressing internalized stigma, reconstructing identity, and strengthening family ties. These proposals promote psychological well-being from an affirmative, community-based, and human rights-based approach.spa
